Broadmeadows Central is proudly adopting the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, showing our commitment to inclusivity, acceptance, and support for customers living with non-visible disabilities.
What is the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program?
Around one in five Australians live with a disability, and an estimated 80 percent of disabilities are invisible. Some are not immediately obvious, such as autism, chronic pain, dementia, anxiety as well as visual or hearing impairments.
The program is a discreet way for those with less visible conditions to indicate that they may need additional support or a little more time by simply wearing a Sunflower pin, wristband, or lanyard.
How does this help me?
We encourage customers who need assistance to look out for our centre staff wearing a white Hidden Disabilities supporter Sunflower pin, wristband, or lanyard, or visit our customer service desk for more information.
Anyone with a hidden disability can wear a Sunflower product. Customers visiting [Broadmeadows Central can obtain a free Sunflower product at the Information Desk.
